FAQ's

Can we come and visit your premises?

Yes. As part of our inspection and licensing agreements with the local council, every dog and owner must come and visit the home so that an assessment can be made and you can see if our set up is what you are looking for. This is by appointment only.

What will be my dogs routine?

Every day is different. The day generally starts early at All Paws Welcome! All dogs wake up, go out into the garden, and then have their breakfast. A settling down period of an hour is given to let their food go down before they are allowed to play.

Then it’s off to the local field or woodland for a fun filled, long walk. Hours later, when we arrive home, all dogs are showered off and towel dried if necessary, then given a snack before settle time. A play in the garden or house is next on the agenda, when some basic training is given if wanted by owner and then it’s dinnertime.

Again all dogs rest for a while in comfy, snuggly beds before being allowed to play. A snack is given to the dogs having a sleep over before bedtime along with lots and lots of evening cuddles - our favourite time of the day.

Are the dogs taken out for walks?

Yes. Dogs are only let off lead if they are regular boarders and we have the owner's permission. If we feel that a dog is too old for a long walk, then a shorter walk around the local park is given instead.

What exercise will my animal receive?

Dogs will have plenty of exercise running around in the garden and also out for long walks. If we feel the dog is too old for a long walk, then a shorter walk will be given instead.

Cats have a spacious pen with a 12ft by 4ft run, which includes many toys and fun games.

Rabbits have two tier huts with a run and a secure garden to hop about in.

Will my pet be given the medication it needs?

Yes – I have worked and managed a veterinary clinic for 3 years. My role included working

with anesthetics and I have completed animal first aid courses so I am very used to giving medication including injections.  Therefore, I am able to help owners with diabetic animals or animals that require any medication.

Does my animal have to be vaccinated or neutered?

Dogs and cats must be fully vaccinated when boarding at All Paws Welcome. Rabbits are advised to be vaccinated, if not then it is at owners risk. Neutered animals will reduce the risk of dominance towards other animals that are boarding with us. Neutering also gives great health benefits and reduces the risk of various illnesses. We do not accept unneutered dogs or cats over 6 months old as this often upsets the balance of the group. Entire males often mark their scent everywhere, including the home.

Do I need to bring anything for my pet?

For dogs,

How do I pay?

You are asked to give a 20% non refundable deposit when you book in your animal for its stay with us.  Payment may be made by cash, cheque or by bank transfer, details of which will be given. Day boarders pay weekly on the first day of their stay.
